PRU has completed the expansion of its clinical trial unit, adding 20 additional beds and new patient monitoring equipment — bringing our total clinical capacity to 60 beds.
The expansion project, which began in January 2024, has been completed on schedule and within budget. The new wing features upgraded patient monitoring stations, additional nurse stations, and a dedicated emergency response area.
What the expansion enables
With 60 beds now operational, PRU can conduct larger Phase I studies and accommodate parallel study protocols — allowing pharmaceutical clients to compress development timelines by running multiple cohorts simultaneously.
Investment in infrastructure
This expansion is part of PRU's broader infrastructure investment program, which has also included the addition of new LC-MS/MS instruments, expanded cold storage capacity, and an upgrade to our electronic data capture systems across all study units.
